Outposts.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that the StarCiv created a world that was similar to a patchwork quilt - that every part of The Earths surface was covered with stars, fields, canals, monuments and the structures that formed links in a chain to connect them all.

Outposts - as always with the Star Civilisation - come in a large variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from the largest type, the 'long-thinny', as seen above, at Bitche in France, down to tiny, almost circular examples. They all conform to the StarCiv aesthetic in their design.

Outposts are almost exclusively found on the tops of hills, or in some cases, even mountains.

Long-Thinny Star.

The most strikingly beautiful of the outposts, the long-thinny, is reminiscent of a dreadnought battleship or some deep-space cruiser created from our imaginations. As always, no two are ever the same. On the whole, they are remote from the towns and cities. They are quite rare and it's easy to mistake what may have been a hilltop star for a long-thinny - the difference is that long-thinnies do not have any organic type street layout within them - they were for some other purpose, rather than living in.
